About us
In the autumn of 2010, the couple Jon Skjerdal and An-Magritt Lindtner took over the disused goat farm Nigarden, in the small hamlet of Skjerdal in Aurland municipality. Their wish was to preserve the beautiful, old farmhouses, which stood as reminders of a bygone era. We are well underway with that process! We also wanted to share the village’s unique character and cultural history with guests and visitors from near and far. That’s why Skaldegard came to life in the summer of 2017. The beautiful farm is meant to be a place for enjoyment, relaxation, reflection, learning, storytelling, and cultural experiences – all wrapped in the dramatic surroundings that Sogn has to offer. Where to find us
The village of Skjerdal in Aurland municipality is located about 6.5 km north along the fjord from the city center, 210 m above sea level. The road up is narrow and winding. We have very few parking spaces. It may therefore be wise to call or arrange via email in advance before arriving with your own private car. It is also possible to take a taxi. The extra fit can of course cycle, walk or run out here – but remember; the last few kilometers are uphill. Welcome to a guided tour by the Sognefjord!
